Fresh Peach Lemonade Drink (Printable Version)

A refreshing blend of ripe peaches and tangy lemon juice, ready in 15 minutes. Perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 3 large ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
02 - ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)

→ Sweetener

03 - ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste; honey or agave may be substituted)

→ Liquids

04 - 4 cups cold water
05 - 1 cup sparkling water or club soda (optional, for carbonation)

→ Garnish

06 - Ice cubes, as needed
07 - Fresh peach slices and lemon wheels for garnish
08 - Fresh mint leaves (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Combine the peeled peach slices and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and no chunks remain.
02 - Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Use the back of a spoon or spatula to press firmly and extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the remaining solids.
03 - Add the granulated sugar to the pitcher and stir thoroughly until fully dissolved into the peach-lemon mixture.
04 - Pour in the cold water along with the sparkling water or club soda if using. Stir well to fully incorporate all the liquids.
05 - Taste the lemonade and adjust the balance by adding more sugar for sweetness or additional lemon juice for acidity as desired.
06 - Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the peach lemonade over the ice and garnish each glass with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint leaves. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It comes together in fifteen minutes with no stove required, which is a lifesaver when you cannot bear to turn on a single burner.
  • The natural sweetness of ripe peaches means you can dial the added sugar way back and still feel like you are treating yourself.
02 -
  • Skip the straining step and you will end up with a grainy, pulpy drink that feels more like a smoothie than a lemonade. It is worth the extra two minutes.
  • Peaches that are slightly underripe will not blend smoothly and will taste flat. If your fruit is firm, let it sit in a paper bag for a day or two first.
03 -
  • Roll your lemons firmly on the counter before juicing to break down the membranes inside. You will get noticeably more juice from each one.
  • If your peaches are exceptionally sweet, cut the sugar in half at first. You can always add more but you cannot take it away once it is dissolved.
