# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it.
02 - Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, about 10 x 14 inches.
03 - Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along one long edge.
04 - Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the sauce.
05 - Arrange pepperoni, bell pepper, and red onion slices over the cheese. Sprinkle dried Italian herbs on top.
06 - Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough into 8 strips along the shorter edge (about 1¼ inches wide each).
07 - Roll each strip tightly from one end to the other, forming a rose shape. Pinch the end to seal.
08 - Place each rolled pizza rose upright in the muffin tin.
09 - Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
10 - Cool for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They transform ordinary pizza into something guests cannot stop photographing
  • The muffin tin creates perfectly portioned handheld flowers with gooey centers
  • Customize toppings endlessly to please even picky eaters
02 -
  • Overfilling the strips causes toppings to spill out during rolling, so layer ingredients modestly
  • The dough must be at room temperature or it will resist rolling and tear frustratingly
  • Letting them cool in the tin for those crucial five minutes prevents the roses from falling apart
03 -
  • A sharp pizza cutter creates cleaner strips than a knife, preventing the dough from stretching unevenly
  • Brushing the sealed edges with a little water helps them stay closed during baking
